Practice Areas

At Angell Law Offices, LLC, no client is "just another client." If your legal matter is important to you, it's important to me. Let me know how I can help you.
Alternative Dispute Resolution

With "tort reform" and statutory damage caps, alternative dispute resolution has become a cost-effective way to resolve disputes without the time and expense of litigation. Drawing on mediation training and more than 25 years' experience in diverse legal matters, my office offers evaluative mediation in many types of cases, including employment and human resources, personal injury, elder law and health care matters, government and administrative matters, business disputes, and intellectual property.

Business Services

Positioned near state government offices, I have the capability to process corporate registration documents promptly and efficiently. I also provide consultation to for-profit and non-profit boards, prepare corporate books and records, and draft transactional documents.

With my knowledge in this area of law and my own experience in organizing and managing non-profit and for-profit entities, I advise clients on choice of business form, incorporation and registration, employment law issues, policies and procedures, business records and documents, and interaction with government agencies. I am also available to serve in a general or consulting counsel role. This frees my clients to do what they do best – run their businesses.

I also offer advice and counsel in the areas of risk management and compliance. Many businesses and entrepreneurs are unprepared to navigate and interpret the numerous laws, regulations, and administrative rules that govern almost all businesses.

Wills, Trusts, and Estates

This area of my practice includes matters such as estate planning and the drafting of wills, trusts, and advance directives (Living Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Healthcare Powers of Attorney). This area also deals with the filing and management of testate (with a will) or intestate (without a will) estates; guardianships of adults and minors; adoptions; name changes; and other matters falling under the jurisdiction of the probate courts.

Recently, many high profile cases have drawn national attention and underscored the importance of estate planning and end-of-life directives. Also, marriage equality will bring important changes to this area of law. Proper estate planning protects loved ones, ensures that directives are followed, and provides protection for assets. Probate law is complex and involves frequent updates to existing codes and statutes.  With my more than twenty years’ experience in this area, your probate matter will be handled with thoroughness, sensitivity, and care for you and your loved ones.
